We are Home Craft Services and we are your neighbors, Stephanie and Charles Hanson! We’ve lived in Culpeper County since 2014. Charles has been passionate about home renovation and maintenance ever since we bought our first home in 2008. Some of his numerous past projects and improvements can be seen in the gallery on the main website or our Facebook page. We moved to Stonehaven in August of 2024 and have loved getting to know our new neighbors and building community. You’ll see our kids riding bikes or scooters through the neighborhood on nice days.
Moving into a new home in Stonehaven is exciting, and we know it comes with a list of finishing touches to truly make your house a home. Or if you’ve been here since day-one, you may need some items tended to. Homeownership comes with more work than most of us can or want to do. We’re here to relieve some of that stress and frustration with reliable and affordable handyman services—right here in the community. We specialize in Small Jobs, Big Quality.
Many services will charge a minimum travel fee no matter what the job may be, usually over $100. But because you are all right here in the neighborhood, we’ve put together a list of Stonehaven only special rates! Even better, if you group three or more of these separate services in the same visit, we’ll take 10% off.

Get your windows dressed to impress with our curtain rod, blind, and shade installation services. ($25 per window) - Hanging Wall Art & Mirrors
Whether it’s family portraits, artwork, or statement mirrors, we’ll make sure your wall hangings are neat and secure. ($20-50 per piece depending on size) - Furniture Assembly
Don’t spend your weekend wrestling with furniture assembly! We’ll handle everything from beds to desks quickly and professionally. ($50-150 per piece depending on complexity) - Installing Ceiling Lights
Update those builder grade lamps with your own style! ($30-$50 per fixture) - Fixing Drywall Dings and Paint Touch-ups
From moving-day dings and scuffs to nail pops, we’ll handle the repairs and touch-ups so your walls look flawless. ($25 and up depending on size) - Installing Closet Systems
When the wire shelves just aren’t enough anymore, we will quickly and expertly install your new closet system. ($150-500 depending on size and system type) - Installing Storage and Shelving Systems
Organize your garage or utility room with sturdy shelves, hooks, or cabinets that help you make the most of your space. ($100-500 based on system complexity) - Mounting TVs
Get your wall mounted TV set up with a clean and professional look. ($80-120 depending on size +$50 for hidden wires) - Adjusting Doors & Locks
Ensure smooth-closing doors and perfectly functioning locks with our adjustment and installation services. ($40 per door) - Installing Bathroom Accessories
Add to or swap your bathroom finishings; towel racks, toilet paper holders, wall shelves, and other bathroom essentials, installed with precision. ($15-30 per item)
Common maintenance tasks we’ll be happy to perform as needed or on a regular basis.
- Changing HVAC or Water Filters – $20 per filter
- Test and Replace Batteries in Smoke and CO Detectors – $30 whole house
- Winterize Outdoor Hose Bibs – $25
- Lubricate Squeaky Hinges – $30 whole house
- Sealing Countertops – Protect your granite, quartz, or marble countertops from stains and wear with a high-quality sealant. (new application $250, yearly reapplication $100)
The above price list covers labor and incidental consumables. For some projects, homeowners may provide any fixtures or materials to be installed or painted or replaced. Otherwise, we can provide what’s needed and add that to the final amount. If you would like a consultation about design ideas or product options, we can do that at no extra charge for the job.
